Saint Blogger !

Following your trail of thoughts is a better way to go to sleep compared to counting sheep. So I was wondering what is the most versatile phrase, I mean a phrase people use in a lot of circumstances. One did come to my mind which is "Oh my GOD!". This one is used in a lot of situations and most interesting situation is when its used while two people are connecting gravitationally. Well it depends on the people and situation to figure out if it was used in good or bad intention but it made me wonder why god is called ? Assuming its to thank almighty, now I wonder if there is god in the first place. In most people, faith in god is restored when they see miracles happen. So what would constitute a miracle ? Doctors, engineers, scientists perform miracles regularly but nobody cares cos that is their job. Assuming that this discussion is not about real saints, I would say a miracle is an impossible task that a layman does very successfully like winning big at gambling in Las Vegas and restoring faith in people, so I call this person a St. Sinner! Anyway moral of the story is "Life is like walking into a casino and every event is like picking a slot machine"... "Oh my GOD!" did I just attain nirvana ? .... Peace OUT.

ps: "What happens in your life, should stay in your life" ;)

A Xenon lining to Carbon-monoixde cloud

Off late when I ask anyone from bangalore how they are doing, the first thing they tell me about is how horrible the traffic situation in bangalore is. Constant traffic jams, noise & air pollution and long time it takes to get from one place to another. Well nobody likes traffic jams but it made me wonder what could be the silver lining for this gray cloud. Well there are few to say, things we generally don't care about, lets start with helping other people, u r tired to cook so u generally eat out which means u r supporting the entire supply chain for restaurant industry. You spend more on fuel so u r paying income for the entire petroleum industry from executive to the attendant who fills the tank. How about u r self? going & coming back from work, you leave early for work which means u get up early & sleep early which is good for u r health, then u get to work less cos it takes long time to get home, u will spend more quality time with family becos u don't feel like going out, u get to release u r frustrations by yelling at people when stuck in traffic and for people who have relationships, u r pesky in-law visits decrease cos nobody wants to drive in traffic and also u have an undeniable lie whenever u r late ... list goes on but just remember next time u r stuck in traffic u r not only providing income to other people, you might be saving u r own relationship !

White Christmas on black road

This blog is so last year but i promised my biggest fan (myself) that i would write this, so here it goes. Its about my somewhat epic journey across USA during the last week of my four week vacation whose better part was spent watching every conceivable series on network television. It started with my flight from Dallas metroplex to New york city just in time for the transit union strike. Well i am not complaining cos i saw new york for the nth time but it was the first time i saw it downtown to uptown during its prettiest season by walking. After I was tired of walking thru the streets of manhattan I hitched a ride in my friends car & drove all the way to california ! It took us about 7 days with a zillion detours covering 14 states and close to 3750 miles. Driving in winter is an experience and the saying worst always brings out the best is very true. Though we always missed really bad weather by a day all the way till california, it was great to see snow, rain, sleet, wind, cold & bright sun. Another truely amazing fact being a veggie myself I had fresh home cooked, indian food for almost 2000 miles thanks to all my long lost friends & relatives who lived on the route. Some of things we did include walking on frozen colorado river, driving thru passes @ 11,200ft, listening to jazz music in a prairie state, skiing on a snow covered peak in a desert state and bungee jumping of a bridge in nite. Finally my journey ended with a flight on Jan 1st back to dallas after spending new years eve on piers of San francisco. For more details on day to day breakdown you can visit my co-driver's blog. Here are some low resolution photos of the road trip. I would like thank following people who helped us with wonderful food and accommodation... Mr & Mrs Hiremath of New Jersey, Dr & Mrs Murthy of Pennsylvania, Mr & Mrs bhattacharya of Illinois, Mr & Mrs Gowda of Michigan, Mr & Mrs pathak of wisconsin, Mr,Mrs & master Raju of nebraska, Ms Seetharamaiah of Colorado, Mr & Mrs Ramamurthy and Mr Muthur of California.
