Life in the fast lane

Well autobhans might not have speed limits so does life and its the only place where you can crawl, zoom, speed or ultimately halt on highway and nobody cares. So what is it like life in the fast lane ? On a regular road you have speed limits so if u exceed that speed limit then you are speeding however here there is no speed limit, so how do you determine you are in the fast lane ?
Few things that come to my mind are :
1. if you are always doing something you don't really care but have to do it anyways

2. if you are always doing something you like and don't have time for anything else.

3. Finally trying to do everything but don't have time to enjoy anything.

Considering the human craze for speed, should we envy people who are in the fast lane ? I guess maybe not. Speed fanatics might say they have more time to rest and enjoy becos they are always ahead of schedule but do you need to reach your final destination early ?
Funniest part of life in the fast lane is realizing how fast you are travelling, not when you are going but when you look back at the events/markers that you have passed without noticing it.
Anyways doesn't matter which lane you are going, all you need to know is, it is your highway to hell or heaven, well if there is one ! .....Zzzoom on !!!

Super-ways in digital and Mortal world

Can there be a relation between information highway and regular highways based on how the traffic moves ? Well there might be ... I will try to take 2 cases studies ... first one is the way traffic moves on both the highways in USA and second one is the way traffic moves on both the highways in India.

Before I get into details, I will be using 2 most common transport protocols used in Internet for comparison the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) & User Datagram Protocol (UDP). I will give relevant explanation as and when needed.

US has vast & efficient network of road highways and traffic on most of the highways move smoothly, sometimes beyond the speed limit. They have very good problem recovery mechanism in DPS (dept of public safety) and EMS (emergency management services). Therefore I say its very much like TCP of Internet. Apart from have error control and recovery mechanism, its main function is move data from point A to point B (connection). Basically it says number of packets (data) sent per connection continue to rise till a packet gets dropped and then the number decrease rapidly and again continues to slowly build ... this cycle happens till all the data is sent.

Now lets take how traffic in a US highway moves .... cars are moving in order and a car starts going fast ... faster than speed limit ... now slowly everyone starts following this car, a long train of cars gets formed.... this continues till the guy in first car or last car chickens out and drops out of the train ....slowly one by one everyone breaks away .... everyone continue at their own pace for sometime and then the cycle starts again. sounds similar to TCP ?

Well half way across the globe is India, another big country with a vast & inefficient network of road highways, traffic on most highways is unregulated with little or no problem recovery yet traffic moves magically. hence I believe its very much like UDP of Internet. UDP is a low cost protocol which moves data from point A to point B with no error recovery or guarantee on anything including order of data and time to reach. bottom line, it says data will move from A to B but don't ask me how it will move and will it reach, just trust me on that.

For those of us who have driven in India we can already see the connection. For those of you who haven't, traffic in India is very much like UDP .... rules are not rules, they are just recommendations, there is no guarantee that u will reach safely and if something goes wrong there is no guarantee u will get help yet vast amount of traffic moves safely .some reach destination faster and some reach slower but most of them reach the destination.

Well I don't know if digital world follows mortal world or its other way round but there is a connection .... suddenly matrix sounds so interesting ... log on!

A case for a white rose

Rose is king of flowers especially on valentine's day.
No other flower sells more than roses on this day, in
particular red roses. Well i was wondering what makes
red roses so special on valentine's day, researching
on this topic I learnt that each color has
significance and is given accordingly. let me list out
the usual suspects.

Red roses mean romantic love - they're the "Valentine
roses," par excellence.

purple - signify that the giver has fallen in love
with the recipient at first sight.

coral,orange - desire

yellow - joy and friendship.

pink roses - gratitude and appreciation

light pink in color - admiration and sympathy

Peach is more ambiguous - either sympathy or
gratitude.

white - purity,reverence and humility.

This is one of the definitions for colors . Each one
has slight variation. So i tried further research to
find how these colors got associated with. There is no
definite answer or definite time in history. I think I
can explain 2 important colors red and white.

white - which has been used by sages, nuns, angels and
color of peace will lead to its usual meaning of
purity.

red - signifying color of blood and inturn ultimate
sacrifice (to give one's blood) may signify that
person is willing to sacrifice anything for love.

very noble thought and giving a meaning to each color
is a clever idea of some businessman/merchant. I would
like to add a scientific meaning to this color story.

Assuming each color has a meaning and scientifically
the color you see is the color that is getting
reflected. so if you see red then object is absorbing
all colors except red. Now lets take yellow for
example, its made of red and green, so it should mean
combination of whatever red and green means maybe
martian love?

Finally to rest my case, which is the noblest of all
colors ? white !!! (for people slow up there - white
reflects all colors so it means you are everything to
me).

Hale white rose - King of roses on valentine's day
.... any day !
