Niña, genie & something about affection...

Well I had this task of writing a blog on affection and I realized affection is a whoa! word. I wasn't sure what to write about and then remembered what every grad student does when he/she is assigned a topic with no clue about it & has to write a technical paper on it so the prof can publish it....yes a "survey paper". Lets start off with simple defn on google and see wat it means in different domains, finally draw some conclusions... Simple defn of affection on the internet which all of us can understand and relate to is "a positive feeling of liking" but it gets lot complicated after that. People have done Phds on this topic !!! Came across one paper which had following things to say about affection "affection is a process of social interaction between two or more organisms... talk about 3somes!". The author further goes on to say "its non-remunerated work that benefits somebody else"... somebody else ? hey wat about me ... can I sue the other person if i don't get anything back ? maybe lawyers should get involved ... lets see what they have to say about this ...there is a law in most states in US specifically for this called "Alienation of affection" talk about it !. what if it gets worse, should the doctors get involved ? They define affection as believe it or not "A disease" !!! Now go tell that to a guy who did his Phd on affection. defn of affection according to our punked commarades on urban dictionary is as usual expletive. Well good news is I don't have to research for what IT people think cos they rarely get and show affection to living beings... similarly business guys who do nothing for free. The power corridors in relegion do have their own guidelines and ethics for affection. If you still have any doubts on affection there is a whole website on affection FAQs. Finally to my conclusion... no point in complicating things... simplest defenition is still the best one. You don't need a genie to pop up from the bottle, genie is right next to u whether its arabian nights genie or the Niña from "I dream of genie" show or genie is just u r cat ;-) ... As long as u r not a businessman, just show as much as affection you want, it costs u nothing and who knows u r wishes might come true !

Smoke on the water ...

Most people try "SAD" (Smoking, alcohol & drugs) as I call it cos they feel they are not in control of their fate and want to release pressure but some try it cos of peer pressure or just for pure thrill of it. There is lot of smoke on the water as to why people get high though there is never a right answer. However there is always a right answer for how people feel when they are high. Warm, light headed, funny, happy, smart, dumb, moving between opposites and most important reason of all... u stop caring about u r "fate" whether its good or bad... People get high on different things...alcohol, smoking, drugs, painkillers, anti depressants, dangerous things ... some even pay to get kidnapped ... but as all of us know its all state of mind ... given right circumstances ... i can get light headed on just plain old glass of chilled iced water...or may be listening to classic rock and understanding the deeper meaning in their lyrics ... well thats me. Love is one of those things which makes everyone high... probably its the rush of blood that makes people so dizzy about it...its the best narcotic available to man and definitely better than purest form of cocaine or any synthetic MDMH unfortunately unlike all the other illegal narcotics available in life, its hard to come by anytime ... An unknown (to me) wiseman once said ..."Give a man someone to love, if not something to hope for and if not then something to do", I guess its when you reach the third case you try work your way back upwards ... u try them cos u want to do something, then u hope for it and finally u luv it ! Now life is not so "SAD" !!! well is it really ?
